Aloha. We took a short break from drinking Hawaiian coffee, and wow, we can taste the difference. We’ve been starting the day with a cup of Ka’u coffee, freshly roasted from Puna Chocolate Company. Puna Chocolate is a farm-to-bar family biz dedicated to full-flavored chocolate, that is both sustainable and fresh from their Hawaiian orchards.
Puna Chocolate worked over the past year developing their own coffee line with show-stopping packaging. In March, they launched this line, and we ordered as soon as we found out. They currently sell three regional beans – Ka’u Coffee, world famous Kona Coffee, and Hamakua Coffee. We’ve only tried Ka’u so far, and can’t wait to try the others.
Ka’u District is just south of Kona District and becoming the hottest region to grow excellent coffee.
Our selection is grown in Wood Valley, Hawaii where a few hours of sunlight give ample growing time while the valley and overcast evenings enrich the coffee flavor. Ka’u always has fresh and buttery notes.

Note: this is not a sponsored post. I’ve been a long time customer of Puna Chocolate.
