We’re always in the search for a great cup of coffee. Lately we’ve been trying different brands across the Hawaiian Islands because, as we’ve learned, there are many different terrains and flavor profiles of coffee. So there’s more than Kona coffee. Of the handful of roasters we purchased coffee from, we just discovered Kona Roasted.
Kona Roasted Coffee Co. is a new brand that showcases coffee from Hawaii’s best farms. Kona Roasted takes the coffee grown by these talented artisans and applies an individualized scientifically developed roast profile to best showcase the subtle nuances unique to each farm and region.
To ensure an ultra-premium experience, their coffee is expertly roasted in small batches just prior to shipping, and sold in whole bean form. Available for purchase are 6 roasts:

Kona Roasted has three high scoring coffees. Coffee Review gave Rus and Alla a 92 score, Gary and Valerie received a 92, and Salvador earned a score of 91.
We’ve only sampled one roast so far – Rus and Alla from Ka’u. The coffee is delicious, and perfect for any time of the day. The beans are grown in a coffee farm located in Wood Valley on the Big Island of Hawaii.
The remote and peaceful Wood Valley, Ka’u region lies on the eastern slopes of Mauna Loa, one of the largest active volcanoes on Earth. Rather cool nights extend the cherry ripening window to a few more months than is typical for Hawaiian coffees. We believe these unique weather conditions, in addition to Rus and Alla’s meticulous farming approach and adventurous spirit, presents an exciting coffee with fantastic depth.
