With the hot weather approaching, there’s no better way that cooling down with a cold beer ice cream. Strawberry balsamic, chocolate raspberry and red velvet cake are just a few of the new ice cream offerings here for the summer at Grand Central Terminal. With the addition of the Jacques Torres Ice Cream shop joining Shake Shack, Magnolia Bakery and other iconic New York City shops, Grand Central is a great location this summer to grab a frozen treat. Satisfy your cravings with these options:
Jacques Torres Ice Cream, the newest shop in the dining concourse, boasts 36 rotating flavors of assorted ice cream and sorbets, which can be eaten plain or made into milkshakes, smoothies, or ice cream sandwiches with the chocolatier’s famous cookies. Seasonal flavors this summer include Strawberry Balsamic, Chocolate Raspberry, Strawberry Blood Orange Sorbet, and Passion Fruit Sorbet.
Shake Shack’s Grand Central location is home to the GCT Crunch-stellation Concrete, a delicious concoction of vanilla custard, malt, Valrhona chocolate crunchies and chocolate toffee. Over Memorial Day weekend, Shake Shack will also be offering its seasonal special Red Velvet Cake Concrete—vanilla custard blended with a slice of delicious Shack-made red velvet cake. And on June 21, dads get a free single cup or cone of frozen custard for Father’s Day.
Starting June 21, Magnolia Bakery will be offering a variety of ice cream sandwiches, including red velvet whoopie with vanilla ice cream, magic cookie bar with vanilla ice cream, and double fudge brownie with your choice of vanilla or chocolate ice cream.
Customers can save their receipts in exchange for free gifts through the Grand Central Rewards program.
