If you find yourself in the Nomad/Flatiron District, here are a few of my favorite spots to grab a healthy lunch.
Mulberry & Vine
Mulberry & Vine focuses on healthy prepared foods that are organic, seasonal, and local with a selection of different vegetables and proteins. I find myself dining here at least once a week. My favorites are the Thai Chili Noodles, Chicken Tomatillo Posole, and Charred Avocado. Pick-three plates and bowls range from $9 to $11.50.

Maman
Despite being known for their outrageously delicious Nut Chocolate Cookies, they also sell tasty salads, sandwiches and quiche. They offer two daily salad specials costing $6.50 for a small bowl, and $10 for a large. It’s a great deal considering how much comes in a serving.

INDAY
Their delicious bowls are bursting with Indian flavors. Try the “not rice” made with shredded cauliflower and Brussels sprouts and top it with hormone- and antibiotic-free chicken, roasted cauliflower, mint, cucumber, tomato and cilantro.

The Little Beet
Create your own plate with chicken, salmon, steak, tofu or a veggie patty, then load up on seasonal, rotating sides and salads like charred broccoli, buckwheat soba noodles, grilled sweet potatoes and roasted butternut squash.

By Chloe
My go-to is their Kale Caesar Salad made with shiitake bacon, avocdado, almon parm, maple-wheat croutons and a caesar dressing. Craving fast food for lunch? They’ve got burgers, fries and more.

Sweetgreen
This place is always busy, and it’s cuz their salads are just so darn good. My usuals are the Spicy Sabzi (organic baby spinach, shredded kale, spicy broccoli, raw beets, organic carrots, bean sprouts, spicy quinoa, basil, roasted sesame tofu, sweetgreen hot sauce, carrot chili vinaigrette) and Kale Caesar (shredded kale, chopped romaine, parmesan crisp, shaved parmesan, roasted chicken, tomatoes, fresh lime squeeze, caesar dressing).
1164 Broadway, between 27 and 28th Streets
Dig Inn Seasonal Market
This organic eatery has a rotating selection of organic, locally sourced mains and sides for about ten bucks a meal.
