Rise Doughnuts is a family business born during this pandemic. Run by Chef Hugh Magnum and his family, Rise makes the best doughnuts ever. You may have noticed on our social feeds that we go pretty often.
We first had a taste of Rise Doughnuts when they were a popup at Parlor in Wilton on Sunday mornings. At the end of September, they relocated to The Schoolhouse at Cannondale and began selling their creations on Saturdays and Sundays. At the end of October (on Halloween Eve) they introduced #FritterFridays.
Chef Hugh Magnum’s popup was featured on Good Morning America in November, and until now, the lines are growing longer and longer. Here’s the clip in case you missed it:
The menu varies daily, but there’s about 4 to 6 six total flavors. You can also order fresh roasted coffee from Folk City Roasters and on Fridays, you have the option of going a la mode with ice cream from The Bent Spoon.
