The Stamford Wine Opener presented by the First Niagara Bank Foundation will take place on September 27 at the Sheraton Stamford from 6:30 to 9:30, with a VIP reception sponsored by Morton’s Steakhouse beginning at 5:30. The event will include three key ingredients:
- Wine tasting stations where your members can sip and purchase international wines provided exclusively by Glenville Wine and Spirits;
- Food tasting stations from a variety of Fairfield county’s best restaurants including Tiernan’s Bar & Grill, Bar Q, Butterfield8, and Georgetown Cupcake;
- A silent auction where your members can bid on items from Tiffany, the Interlaken Resort, and American Airlines, among others.
All tickets, a portion of the wine proceeds, and the auction all benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Cystic Fibrosis is a fatal genetic disease that affects the lungs and pancreas of its victims. With only 30,000 patients in the US, most of our fundraising efforts have been relegated to our family and friends. The goal of the Wine Opener is to extend our reach to people who appreciate great wine and food, and who wouldn’t mind helping out a great cause along the way.
