Do you remember when the Malaysian Truck was around giving away free samples of Malaysian food in NYC? Well, a Korean food truck will be making its way into NYC next week. The Korean Food Foundation is collaborating with nine local restaurants to operate a mobile kitchen, giving away free Korean lunches in 25 Manhattan locations weekdays from April 18 through May 20.
Lunch is served Mon-Fri from 11:30AM – 2PM. Here’s the schedule for the first week:
4/18: Bulgogi Filet Mignon Slider – Bryant Park (40th St. at 6th Ave)
4/19: Spicy Pork Belly Slider – 52nd St and 6th Ave
4/20: Short Rib Slider – Columbus Circle
4/21: Bulgogi Brisket Slider – Madison Square Park
4/22: Spicy Pork Belly Slider – Union Square West @ corner of 15th St.
Week Two
4/25: Bulgogi – 58th St btw Park & Lexington Ave
4/26: Bulgogi – 26th St & Park Ave
4/27: Japchae – Broadway & 35th St
4/28: Japchae – Canal & Lafayette St
4/29: Kimchi Fried Rice – 5th Ave at 43rd St
Week Three
5/2: Jeon – Park Ave. and 59th Street
5/3: Jeon – 6th Ave. and 52nd Street
5/4: Bulgogi – Canal Street at Lafayette
5/5: Bibimbap – 58th Street between Park & Lexington
5/6: Bibimbap – Park Ave. between 26 & 27 Streets
Week Four
5/9: Tofu Soup – 40th St. between 5th & 6th Ave.
5/10: Tofu Soup – 5th Ave. at 43rd St.
5/11: Kimchi Fried Rice – Broadway at 35th St.
5/12: Kimchi Fried Rice – Park Ave. between 26th & 27th St.
5/13: Japchae – Union Square West at 15th St.
Week Five
5/16: LA Galbi – 40th St. between 5th & 6th Ave.
5/17: Samgyeopsal (Pork Belly BBQ) – Columbus Circle
5/18: Spicy Pork Bulgogi – Park Ave. between 26th & 27th
5/19: LA Galbi – 6th Avenue on 52nd St.
5/20: Spicy Pork Bulgogi – Union Square (Union Square West at 15th St.)
