For those of you who follow us on Instagram, you may have noticed that we dine at Terrain often, usually for brunch or a quick bite.
Terrain’s greenhouse cafe offers seasonally changing brunch, lunch, and dinner menus featuring hand-selected local produce, meats, and dairy alongside a thoughtfully curated beverage program from near and far.
Six weeks into 2020, we’ve already dined at Terrain twice for dinner and once for brunch. We are quite impressed with the new Winter Dinner menu which launched last month. We’ve actually eaten at two of their restaurants – the flagship in Glen Mills, PA and the one closest to us in Westport, CT.
New to the winter menu are a burrata dish featuring roasted butternut squash, hazelnuts and aged balsamic, as well as a new plant-based oat and mushroom burger called the Possible Burger.
For entrees, we recommend trying either the Wild Striped Bass with butternut squash & ginger puree, charred leeks, apple cider reduction, and pumpkin seed or the Cape May Scallops with lentils, sunflower romesco, beets, swiss chard, and sunflower seeds.
The presentation was different at the two Terrains, but equally delicious.
The Pumpkin Cheesecake at Glen Mills is amazing. It’s probably the best pumpkin cheesecake we’ve ever had. The cranberry jam and salted caramel was a nice touch. If you see it, order it. I can’t wait to see this added to the Westport location.
