It’s National Chicken Wing Day. Here’s a list of our favorite spots to get our chicken wing fix.
Candlelight Inn, Scarsdale, NY – this is the spot for the best buffalo wings in Westchester. Whenever we’re in the area, we stop by to grab a bucket – a mix of hot and barbecue. You can also get them plain, or you can pick from these sauces: mild hot, extra hot, chernobyl or teriyaki or barbecue.
When in NYC, we get KFC, aka Korean Fried Chicken. Our go-to’s to get the ultra crisp, crackly skin tasty wings are BonChon on Fifth Avenue by the Empire State Building and Boka in the East Village. For good ol’ fashioned wings, we head to Hill Country Chicken, on the corner of 25th and Broadway.
Now, moving closer to home – Fairfield County has a lot of restaurants that have great wings. Archie Moore’s (somewhat comparable to Candlelight Inn. Read our comparison.) buffalo wings have a great texture and flavor.
Washington Prime in SoNo dresses their wings in a kimchi sauce and garnished with scallions and chili. There’s a lot of flavor and the amount of heat in each bite. Tip: Get ’em 1/2 off during Happy Hour.
