The Great American BBQ Co. which caters regional BBQ in the tri-state area for the last 15 years will be opening the first “Pop-up” restaurant in White Plains on November 1st. Located next door to Sam’s of Gedney Way, it will be open for lunch and dinner 7 days a week for the entire month of November.
All BBQ will be rubbed, smoked and slow roasted on site by Sam’s Pitmaster, Pancho “Villa” Diaz, who’s been honing his barbecue skills for over 15 years. On the menu are sandwiches and plates, including the Texas “All American” beef brisket Sandwich (12-hour smokehouse certified Angus brisket, sliced nice and thick basted with their Texas BBQ sauce), Carolina Pulled Pork tossed in apple cider vinegar-Carolina BBQ sauce, Dry rubbed St. Louis pork ribs, and more. We’re eyeing the Great American BBQ “Taste It All” Sampler where you get a little bit of everything for $21.95. Also available are a selection of draught beer and local craft beer from Lake Placid Craft Brewing Company, Ithaca Beer, and Captain Lawrence.
If the pop-up is a success, there are plans to reopen the concept as a seasonal restaurant from May through November in 2014.
