Munchery, New York’s newest food-delivery startup, launched in NYC last year and is now expanding to Westchester and Long Island. Munchery is part of a new breed of food delivery startups that place a premium on locally sourced, high-end meals cooked up daily by real chefs and delivered to your doorstep. We’ve been ordering food from them since last April.
The average cost of an entree is reasonable, ranging from $10 to $13 a dish for adults (about $5-7 for kids meals). And every time a meal is ordered, a portion of proceeds is donated to local food banks, like Food Runners. The delivery window varies based on zip code. On-Demand Delivery is also available in select zip codes, with delivery between 20-40 minutes.
Pappardelle with Meat Sugo by Chef Steven Pereyda Alum of Aureole, The Bazaar
Fresh, handmade pappardelle pasta is served with a rich, slowly simmered sauce of tomatoes, beef, pork and a trinity of carrots, celery and onions. Topped with creamy, lemon-scented ricotta and Parmesan cheese and served alongside steamed broccolini.
Have you tried Munchery? Local Munchery chefs use fresh, seasonal ingredients to make affordable, tasty, nourishing meals. Menus change everyday, with plenty of entrées, salads, sides and even kids’ meals.
You can order on-demand or schedule delivery up to a week in advance. Meals arrive chilled so everything stays fresh. A few minutes in your oven or microwave and dinner’s done when you’re ready to eat.
