Aurora Bar and Grill is located on the third floor of The Hotel Alyeska in Girdwood, Alaska. Aurora’s menu features Alaskan seafood, steaks, sandwiches, salads and pizza.
One of my favorites off the dinner menu is the Zuppa Di Pesce, a fish soup made with shrimp, clams, salmon and Alaskan king crab in a saffron seafood broth, served with garlic toast. I was a little disappointed in there being only a small piece of king crab, but the meal was pretty great, and satisfying. Normally I’d pair this type of dish with a glass of wine, the Alyeska White beer pairs well.

Be sure to ask for the daily specials during dinner. The evening we dined at Aurora, they had a wild salmon tortellini with goat cheese. Sounds intriguing but is an excellent dish, especially if you enjoy creamy pasta dishes.

Got kids? They’ve got a menu for the little diners for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Overall, a good dining experience and at decent prices. The quality of the food is better than what you can get at other restaurants in the Girdwood area. So if you’re in the area, I recommend dining here.
