One of my close friends introduced me to his healthy snack recipe, and I thought it would be worth sharing, especially since it’s berry season. It only takes a couple minutes to prepare, and it’ll keep you full for hours. Good news is that it’s not too high in calories – so good on the waist as well.
Waffles with Berries, Almonds and Greek Yogurt
Ingredients
- 2 whole grain frozen waffles
- 1/2 cup nonfat Greek yogurt
- 1/3 cup chopped strawberries
- 2 tbsp sliced almonds
- 2 tbsp dried cranberries, or goji berries
- 2 tbsp honey, or agave syrup
Directions
- Toast the frozen waffles
- Spread a layer of Greek yogurt on top of the waffle
- Sprinkle the strawberries, almonds, and cranberries or goji berries
- Drizzle with honey, or agave syrup
