Gang Ga-Ree with chicken |
Kit’s Thai Kitchen is the best Thai restaurant in Stamford. There are seats both indoors and the patio. The restaurant is usually packed at the prime dinner hours. That’s a sign of how good and popular the restaurant is.
Service is quick. The quality of the food is great. According to their website, each of their chefs has more than 20 years of experience. Impressive.
Entree prices range from $11.75 to $19.95, depending on the protein you select. In general the spicy dishes off the menu, are not spicy. If you like spicy food, just ask them to make it spicy.
My recommendations, and items that I order most of the time:
-
- Tom Yum Goong – a sour soup made with shrimp, mushrooms, tomatoes, cilantro and scallions
- Pad See Eaw with beef – sautéed wide rice noodles with broccoli, carrots, eggs, and sweet soy sauce
- Massaman Curry with chicken – sautéed curry with cumin, cinnamon and cardamom in coconut milk with potatoes, peanuts and onions
Pad See Eaw with beef |
- Gang Dang Red Curry with chicken – curry with coconut milk, bamboo shoots, eggplant, bell peppers and fresh basil.
For dessert, I highly recommend the non-Thai item that’s not even on the menu, but in their display case – the peanut butter chocolate pie.
