Montréal is full of great food. With such a limited amount of time in the city, I had to make as many stops as I possibly could. So as I walked around Old Montréal, I found a cute pink cafe near the Notre Dame Basilica.
Les Glaceurs-Glaces et Cupcakes is a wonderland of ice cream and cupcakes. Not just any cupcakes, but beautiful pieces of art. Some of the flavors include:
- Fondant au caramel salé
- Avalanche de brownies
- Vanille
- Vanille-café
- Vanille-citron
- Red Velvet (this one actually had a description in French and English)
- Choco-menthe
- Choco-coco (noix de coco)
- Choco-choco
- Choco-orange
These flavors sound amazing in French, I don’t even need to translate it. To help visualize, I’ve bulleted out the flavors which you can map from bottom to top in the photo to the left.
They also have a decent selection of ice cream and sorbet. We ordered a double scoop of mango and coconut sorbet (sadly, I’m lactose intolerant, so I couldn’t get the ice cream). Divine, unlike the usual sorbet, almost like a gelato but with a nice kick of fruit flavor.
Other items you can pick up are macaroons, and Boueles d’oreilles (cute cupcake earrings).
What a treat! Be sure to stop by if you’re in the area.
