Today, I stopped by Crumbs Bake Shop (Twitter handle: @CrumbsBakeShop) to purchase some cupcakes for someone’s birthday.
We asked the staff if they had any sugar free cupcakes, and 2 of them responded, “No, they all have sugar. If you want them without sugar, just close your eyes and imagine there being no sugar.” Really!?! So we responded back that the person we were buying the cupcakes for was diabetic, and they gasped.
We walked out with 4 cupcakes anyway, but I was just amazed at the response I got. The cupcakes we purchased:
- Blackbottom Cheesecake
- Peanut Butter Cup
- Red Velvet
- Vanilla
The cupcakes were very rich and sweet; I only ate half of mine, but my cupcake eaters were savoring theirs. Overall, I thought the cupcakes were good, but didn’t live up to the hype.
