After snorkeling the reef by Coral Gardens be sure to stop by their restaurant, Somewhere Café & Lounge. It’s just a small, casual beachside eatery with a bar with stools all around the counter, and a couple tables with umbrellas set up to give you some shade while you gaze at the gorgeous turquoise waters. In the evenings, I recommend getting a table on the second floor. Somewhere is open for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and even cocktails. During the day, Somewhere serves the typical beach grub with a Tex/Mex flair: burgers, tacos, sandwiches, and, of course, conch fritters.
I recommend the fish sandwich, $16, a fillet of grouper cooked the way you like it – fried, blackened, or grilled – on a warm roll with lettuce, tomato, and onion. You can get it with fries or substitute it with salad. The fish tacos are another great choice. Eat up and wash it down with a bottle of Turk’s Head, Duvel, or the other beer they have available.
Friendly staff, island jams, and a great view – you can’t pass up a relaxing dining experience here.
Be sure to check their Facebook page for upcoming parties and events.
