The second Big Brew New York Beer Festival happened on September 20th. Like the first one, beer aficionados had the opportunity to taste over 250 craft beers and food. VIP ticket holders had an extra hour of tasting and a chance to taste another 25+ special brews and a few beer-infused items prepared by Chef Arlen Gargagliano, Owner & Chef at Mambo 64 in Tuckahoe, NY. Her dishes were made exclusively with Broken Bow Brewery beers:
- Mambo 64’s Pernil (marinated and slow-roasted pork shoulder) with Broken Auger Lager Drizzle
- Gallo Pinto (Costa Rican-style rice and beans)
- Broken Bow Marbledale American Pale Ale Roasted Corn and Jalapeño Salsita
- Arlen’s Brownies with a Broken Bow Broken Coffee Stout Drizzle
Of the hundreds of beers available to sample, we enjoyed those of The Bruery, Ommegang (GoT beer), and Southern Tier Brewing Company. The rest of the night eventually became a blur. No need to explain why. Until the next beer fest…
