June 2nd is National Doughnut Day. Here’s a list of our favorite places for doughnuts across the US.
In Connecticut…
Donut Crazy is one of our favorite spots for a tasty donut good any time of the day. On display are its typical selection of “Dailies” and “Crazies.” I’m a simple gal. I love the Apple Crumbly and Chocolate Frosted. Try them at one of their 5 locations in CT.

In New York…
Our favorite spot for doughnuts in NYC is Dough. Their doughnuts are made with a brioche-type dough prepared in small batches throughout the day. Choosing one doughnut is tough. We usually order the Passion Fruit, Hibiscus, and Chocolate-Cocoa Nib doughnuts. You can get your fix at their locations in Bed Stuy, the Flatiron District, UrbanSpace Vanderbilt, or City Kitchen.

In North Carolina…
In the town of Duck in the Outer Banks, lines form early at Duck Donuts. Duck Donuts offers many choices of coatings and toppings, and customers can put these together any way they wish. Just fill out your order sheet, pay, and wait for their team to make your fresh creation(s). Good news – they have locations across the East Coast. Check their site for their whereabouts.

In Hawaii…
If you see the Manuela Malasada Truck on the highway along the Kohala Coast or in the town of Manuela, stop by and order a fresh malasada. Be careful! They’re hot cuz they are made to order.

On Oahu, try Leonard’s malasadas. Starting at $1.25 you can enjoy freshly made malasadas plain with sugar, or filled with toppings like haupia (coconut), chocolate, custard, or their flavor of the month. So ono!
Where do you go to get your doughnut fix?
