Judy’s Bar + Kitchen is Comfort Food at Its Best

Judy’s Bar + Kitchen is a fun, relaxed restaurant in the heart of Stamford, Connecticut serving homemade American comfort food. Opened in the summer of 2015, Tabouli Grill’s Chef Judith Roll treated Stamford residents to another side to her culinary prowess.

Judy’s menu features tasty appetizers including Pickled Shrimp Cocktail with avocado, quick pickled veggies and saltines, Smoked Wings, Cajun Crispy Calamari and “Big By You” nachos with brisket, veg or beef chili, pulled pork, or BBQ chicken.

We first tried Judy’s during Greenwich Wine + Food Festival 2016, when she showcased her popular crispy chicken & bacon cheddar waffle sandwich. If you haven’t tried it, you must order it. The chicken is juicy and flavorful. The waffle is savory with a touch of sweetness. Put them together with a bit of Sriracha mayo and you’re taste buds will be singing. It’s one delicious sandwich.

On the lighter side, salad lovers can enjoy fresh and seasonal creations such as the Southern Skinny made with spinach, romaine, apples, blue cheese, pecans with Tupelo honey vinaigrette or the Asian quinoa spinach salad with a choice of smoked meats or grilled seafood.

Meat lovers rejoice!

Judy’s also serves juicy, grass-fed beef and turkey burgers, St. Louis ribs, 12-hour brisket, and BBQ chicken accompanied with Judy’s signature corn bread, creamy mac & cheese, crunchy slaw, and cheesy grits. Cool weather favorites include; chicken pot pie; Louisiana crab cakes; The Best country buttermilk fried chicken; and beer battered fish and chips.

A revolving selection of craft beer is offered, in addition to Judy’s creative cocktail menu which includes her award-winning cocktail from Stamford Magazine’s Best Bartender Contest this past June, the Bourbon Peach Pie.

For the Little Ones

Cask Republic has also rolled out a children’s menu offering five children meal classics priced at $6 per dish. Our Foodie Kai enjoyed Crispy Buttermilk Chicken Tenders with a side of Mac n Cheese.

Satisfy Your Sweet Tooth

You’ll be reminded to save room for dessert with the blackboard scribbled with the names of the seven desserts available. To name a few: Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting 8, Brownie Fudge Sundae with caramel, fudge, and whipped cream, and our favorite, Nilla Wafer Banana Cream Pudding.
