Can you believe it! After 6 years of blogging, I’ve finally hit my 600th blog post. To celebrate, I’m giving away 2 cookbooks to one lucky reader: New American Table by Marcus Samuelsson and Giada at Home by Giada De Laurentiis.
James Beard Award-winning chef Marcus Samuelsson is the owner of Red Rooster Harlem in New York City and three other restaurants. In his cookbook New American Table, he shares over 300 recipes influenced by American cuisine. One of my favorites is the Fried Chicken with Yucca Salad. Chef Marcus cooks the chicken twice – first simmered in coconut milk, then deep fried in peanut oil. Eventually I’ll try out some of his treats like the Hazelnut Cookies or the Banana Nut Bread with Hazelnut Kulfi. Good thing I have a spare copy, so maybe we can share photos.
The other cookbook is Giada at Home which has over 200 pages of mouthwatering photographs of food and recipes. The recipes in this book are relatively easy to prepare, from the Cheese-Stuffed Dates with Proscuitto to the Roasted Tomatoes with garlic, gorgonzola, and herbs to the Honey-Balsamic Lamb Chops.
