My cousin introduced me to Pho Saigon, a Vietnamese restaurant located in the Tikkatnu Center a few minutes outside of Anchorage. The restaurant serves various types of pho and rice dishes, all priced around $10-$12.
Here are some of our favorite dishes:
Saigon Dry Noodle – cooked noodles that are seasoned with spices and served with pork and shrimp with a bowl of broth on the side.
Pho Tai – rice noodle soup with thinly sliced, rare eye of round steaks.
Panang Tofu – mixed vegetables stewed in Panang curry and coconut milk served with rice. This was my favorite of all the dishes. The curry is very flavorful and had the right amount of spice.

Overall, great food at great prices. If you’re in town, stop by. It gets busy during lunch time, so be sure to get there early.
