In cuisine, Belgium is known for chocolate, beer, waffles and seafood. While I was there, I made sure I tried each of them.
Belgian waffles are lighter, thicker, and crispier and has larger pockets compared to other waffle varieties. In Brussels, they are sold on almost everywhere. You’ll see them presented on the counter with various toppings: powdered sugar, whipped cream (or “Chantilly” as what they call it), chocolate (white, milk or dark), Nutella, or a mix of all toppings. The most expensive waffles are the ones with the fruits – costing you an extra 2 Euro.
