Beef chow fun |
Wild Ginger Dumpling House is more than a dumpling house. I was disappointed that there isn’t a large variety of dumplings, as what I had expected. There were 6 types of dumplings, mainly a variety of meats:
Pork, $5.50
Chicken, $5.50
Vegetable, $5.50
Shrimp, $5.95
Szechuan, $5.95
Dim Sum, $5.50
The menu offers typical Chinese dishes, and wait…pad thai and Thai curry dishes.
For starters, you get deep fried noodles and a sweet duck sauce. Nothing special.
For the main course, we tried the beef chow fun, which they should have called Pad See Eaw (a Thai dish), because it was more or less like it. The noodles were glistening with oil, and yes, it was very oily. I didn’t bother to finish the dish.
Mango Chicken |
The Mango Chicken was alright. The best part of the dish was the use of lean, thinly sliced chicken breast. I wasn’t impressed with the dish at all.
The interior is decorated nicely. The food is good, not great. The staff is friendly. You can more authentic Chinese, or even Thai food elsewhere.
Why did I eat here in the first place? The name of the restaurant. I should have checked reviews prior to dining here. But then again, the restaurant has received great reviews. I’m confused.
