Giovanni’s Shrimp Truck is a must if you happen to be in the North Shore of Oahu. You can spot it in a parking lot: Just look for a white truck with graffiti on it, pictured below. It’s the oldest and best known shrimp truck.
Giovanni’s has a simple menu:
- Hot and spicy shrimp
- Shrimp scampi
- Lemon butter shrimp
My local friends highly recommended the Hot and spicy shrimp, and that’s what I got. How’s it served: of course, with 2 scoop rice and mac salad. We enjoyed the shrimp on the picnic tables under the tents. The sauce has quite some kick – but it was pretty good, if you like spicy. Don’t try to be cool and order hot and spicy if you can’t handle it.

I’m sorry, I can’t compare this to any of the other shrimp trucks, but I was satisfied with the meal (and I shared it with my husband). No, I didn’t go for seconds because I had to continue on my North Shore food tour. But I would have if I wasn’t. =P
