Bar Sugo Announces October Wine Classes

If you would like to learn more about the wines from Italy, Bar Sugo is hosting wine a series of wine classes exploring the different Italian wine regions. Hosted by Megan Pascarella, Beverage Director at Bar Sugo, and another wine expert, each wine class will include wine education and tasting of selected wines. To complement he selection of wines, classes include the chef’s selection of artisan cheeses and house-cured meats. Each class is $35 per person plus tax and gratuity. Limited seats available and reservations are required.

Seeing Sicily Through a Wine Glass
Tuesday, October 6, 6:30pm – 7:30pm

Join Megan Pascarella and Nick Neves of Worldwine Wines and learn how the region’s indigenous varietals set rustic Sicilian wines apart from their Northern neighbors.

Under the Tuscan Sun
Tuesday, October 13, 6:30pm – 7:30pm

Feel like you’re under the Tuscan sun with this wine class focusing on wines from Tuscany. Known for some of the most famous vineyards in the world, explore a variety of wines with Megan Pascarella and Ana Lisa Stockwell of Opici Family Wines.

Touring Piedmont
Tuesday, October 20, 6:30pm – 7:30pm

One of the great wines of the world comes from the small area of Barolo, in the Piedmont region of northwest Italy. But the Piedmont region boasts the most diverse range of wine styles of any region in Italy, from sparkling wines to white wines, from light-bodied reds to full-bodied reds. Join Megan Pascarella and Monica McCall from Martin Scott Wines as they educate you about this region.

Southern Italy- Puglia and Calabria
Tuesday, October 27, 6:30pm – 7:30pm

Southern Italy is home to some of the country’s best-kept wine secrets. As the rest of the world catches on, the quality of these already delicious wines is only going up, and the bottles exported to the U.S. these days are truly world class.
