11th Annual Taste of Westport Happens May 7, 2015

Taste of Westport

Taste of Westport

CLASP Homes is hosting its 11th Annual Taste of Westport at the Westport Inn Thursday, May 7th, from 7 to 9pm. Guests will enjoy an evening tasting specialties from choice area restaurants, accompanied by a selection of wines, beers and cocktails, and end it with desserts, cappuccino and delicious desserts – all to support a great cause, and all for a $75 donation. The evening is almost at hand. Tickets are going fast. Don’t get shut out.

Better yet, come early and enjoy the evening’s feature, an intimate pre-party with The Singing Chef, Neil Fuentes. He’s a recent winner on Food Network’s Rewrapped, he’s a regular guest on WTNH’s Connecticut Style, and he’s Executive Chef at Jojoto in Branford, Connecticut’s only Venezuelan restaurant.

Chef Fuentes will start you off with a soothing Passion Fruit Martini with Jalapeño as you watch him prepare mahi mahi in a tomato reduction sauce (watch him in action), and he’ll finish with a sweet and delicious coconut custard cake. All while he’s singing and backed by his 5 piece band!

He’ll start at 6:00 p.m., and tickets for this party and the full Taste of Westport are a $95 donation to CLASP.

Stamford Ford Lincoln will be Taste’s Title Sponsor. They are an automotive leader in the area, with a showroom located at 212 Magee Avenue, Stamford. Marketing Director Tom Zvon stated “We work to build strong relations in our community, and we are pleased to give back, to help CLASP carry out its mission.”

Start your evening by sampling fresh oysters and clams on the half shell from Bridgeport Lobster and Shellfish, try dishes from over 20 restaurants, including The SpreadLittle Barn, Pane e Bene, Jojoto, Rive Bistro, Bobby Q’s, Post 154, and many more.

As you’re tasting, put your bids in on Silent Auction items. You’ll see a variety of event tickets—VIP tickets to the Daily Show with Jon Stewart, with dinner and round trip transportation to New York; Jimmy Fallon Tonight Show tickets; and late season Red Sox-Yankees tickets. There’ll be designer handbags and Edward Bess makeup & skin care products; original art by Audrey and Drew Klotz, and a personally recorded voice mail on your phone from Mike Greenberg!
