Calling all NY/CT beer lovers! The Big Brew New York Beer Festival is happening on Saturday, February 8th at the Westchester County Center. Beer aficionados will have the chance to taste over 300 unique beers and speak to brewery representatives. There will also be a guest appearance by John Holl, author of The American Craft Beer Cookbook, to discuss beer & food pairings and meet with attendees.
The $50 ($80 for VIP) admission price gets you a souvenir 4 oz tasting glass and unlimited beer samples. Designated Driver tickets are also available for $10.
VIP ticket holders get to taste another 25+ special brews and will also get an extra hour of tasting. VIP ticket holders will enjoy a beer-infused buffet designed & prepared by Chef Anthony Goncalves of 42 The Restaurant (at the Ritz-Carlton, Westchester). 42 is the VIP Official Sponsor and will also host the official after party:
- Beer battered fish and ranch chips
- Beer braised lamb arancini (Parmesan and preserved lemon)
- IPA pickled carrot salad over roasted and dehydrated carrot
- Oatmeal Stout glazed apple fritter
Some of the brews available for VIP ticket holders include:
- Allagash Hugh Malone Ale (A complex brew with a malty palate, intense hop aromas, pronounced bitterness and a pleasantly dry finish)
- Ballast Point Brewing Habañero Sculpin (Hints of apricot, peach, mango and lemon flavors with a late habañero bite)
- The Bruery Humulus Lager (American Double / Imperial Pilsner brewed with 4 lbs. of hops per barrel)
