Right on the Long Island Sound, the atmosphere of a classic American pizzeria meets the recipes of an authentic Italian restaurant as Dino’s Pizza Pie announces it will open its doors at 10 1st Street on February 18th.
Everyone will feel at home in this family owned and operated pizzeria, where fresh ingredients, affordable prices, and a menu filled with original pizza designs set Dino’s Pizza Pie apart from the rest.
“We’re going to serve authentic Italian, trattoria-quality food,” said Dino Sforza, the pizzeria’s owner and head chef. “The people are going to love it.”
The grand opening of Dino’s Pizza Pie will be a homecoming for many: Dino and his wife, Maria, served Norwalk with Dino’s Pizza from 1983 to 1992 at County Mall. Via Sforza Trattoria, their other establishment in Westport, recently celebrated its 20th anniversary.
“We got our start in Norwalk,” Dino said. “We’re happy to be coming back to where it all started. It’s funny how it comes full circle.”
As hostess at Via Sforza, Maria often greets former students of Norwalk High School who ate at Dino’s Pizza after (and sometimes during) school. She said she is excited to return to the community that has supported the Sforza family over the years.
Dino and Maria were born in Italy, now American citizens and living locally. For more information about Dino’s Pizza Pie, visit www.DinosPizzaPie.com, call (203) 866-DINO, or you can find them on Facebook.
