bartaco has two locations: one in Port Chester and the other in Stamford. There’s also a new location opening in West Hartford this summer. We’ve gone to the Port Chester location plenty of times, and just recently we’ve been dining at the Stamford location.
In comparison to bartaco PC, the menu at Stamford isn’t as “exotic.” The food and cocktails are great. Our usual order consists of the large taco platter which consists of a selection of tacos, a few tamales, three sides, and a bowl of guacamole. I recommend getting a platter, especially if this is your first time dining here. Platters come in small and large sizes.
After trying all the tacos on the menu (except for the tripe), our favorites are the Red snapper a la Plancha, Spicy Chorizo, and Lamb Barbacoa. Both types of tamales – chicken and pork – are equally delicious.
Thirsty? bartaco has a variety of beer, wine, tequila, and cocktails. As for cocktails, our favorites are the bartaco Margarita, Caipirinha, and Rosita, made with hibiscus-infused Gran Centenario Reposado Tequila, rosemary, pear nectar and cranberry. Be warned, just a glass can get you feeling tipsy, but that’s okay, right?
The night scene brings a crowd, so be sure to come early to get a table.
