Next to The Standard, New York’s Standard Grill is the outdoor Biergarten, located underneath the High Line in the Meatpacking District.
Buy a few tickets ($8 each) at the wooden ticket booth by the entrance and line up to get something off their classic German menu complete with beers, sausages and delicious, gigantic pretzels with mustard. Or if beer’s not your thing (while you’re at the biergarten), you can get a fancy cocktail at the other counter with the white chairs.
On a Friday, get here early to snag a spot at one of the communal picnic tables.
