Whole Foods Market Cooking

Whole Foods Market teamed up with food52 to create a community site for home cooks – a place where people can share recipes, ask questions, and enter contests. In April, they launched their first website for Rockville, Maryland. Today, they have over 11 locations participating:

Over the next few months, another 40 or so sites for stores around the country will also have a Whole Foods Market Cooking website. Be sure to check and see if your local store is listed and register for an account.

Tip: The first 1000 people to sign up for an account receives a free Whole Foods Market reusable bag (announced on July 28th).

About the Whole Foods Market Cooking Department

Bringing together community and cooking, the Whole Foods Market Cooking Department celebrates home cooks — people stirring things up in household kitchens large and small. This welcoming space is designed to inspire and encourage cooks of all kinds to explore the joys of preparing meals for themselves, their families and their friends. Shoppers can chat with each other, check out seasonal menu ideas and cooking demonstrations, and get practical kitchen advice. At home, they can continue the dialogue and discovery at www.wholefoodsmarketcooking.com

Conveniently located between in-store bulk and produce sections, the Cooking Department offers the building blocks to make a great meal, including an array of spices, culinary herbs, gourmet salts, cookbooks and kitchen tools. Single ingredient items take center stage with a carefully curated selection of heirloom beans, hard-to-find grains, fresh nuts and seeds, flavorful dried fruits and much, much more.
