The Veranda Resort’s beachfront restaurant, Marin, was one of my favorite places to go for a cocktail and snacks during my stay in Turks and Caicos. Marin has a beautiful bar and decor, and has the only second-level lounge overlooking stunning Grace Bay Beach. On certain nights, a musician plays the perfect music to help you unwind and enjoy dinner and/or drinks.
To unwind, I recommend these cocktails:
- Liquid Joint, $11 – Bambara white and gold, coconut rum, cherry brandy, orange and pineapple juice, and grenadine
- Caipirinhas, $12
- Pomegranate Margarita
- Pomegranate Martini, made with Grey Goose
For snacks, the hummus and naan plate is great choice – very popular amongst the diners. Three other groups ordered this while we were at the bar. The conch fritters are also the best on the resort-side of the island. An order comes with 5 pieces with a ketchup-mayo-hollandaise dipping sauce on the side. Other popular bar snacks are the jerk chicken and nachos.
If you’re here for a late night drink, keep in mind the kitchen closes at 10pm.
