There are many cheese shoppes in Amsterdam so wherever you go, you’re bound to find a place to get your cheese fix. Right next to the Bloemenmarkt is basement cheese store called De Kaaskelder (The Cheese Cellar). De Kaaskelder sells a variety of Dutch cheeses (including Edam and Gouda) for purchase, and sampling. For a reasonable price starting at 7.95€, you can purchase a small wheel of cheese.
On the sampling table are a selection of cow and goat’s milk cheeses. Flavors include plain (naturel), hot & spicy and herbs and garlic. All are wonderful and creamy, and to narrow down just one to bring home is a tough one. Good news: you can bring home a sampler pack of 3 cheeses.
