Off the extended Restaurant Week lunch menu I ordered the Greek Salad as an appetizer, Salmon for my main course and rose-infused flan for dessert.
The Greek Salad was fine. The moment it was served to me I blurted out, “That’s a big hunk of cheese!” and coincidentally my colleague sitting next to said the same thing when her salad arrived. The salad wasn’t bad, just a typical Greek Salad which a moms and pops shop could make way better.
My main course was complex. Looked ordinary to me when it was served so I didn’t bother to take a picute. I regretted it later. To best describe the taste think of grilled salmon with a perfect char and Indian food. The salmon rested on saag (pureed spinach). On top of the salmon was a tomato based dish served at Indian restaurants. Masala? Oh, can’t forget about the roasted fennel – about half a bulb. I decided just to eat the salmon alone. May I also mention that the salmon was served skin side up. So much for the lovely char I described earlier.
Decor – cute. I thought I was in a Mediterranean restaurant but there was too many themes going on. Almost felt like I was shopping in ABC Home (which is around the corner).
Service was another issue. There were probably 5 other tables in service, and ours was a table of 4. I don’t know why it took the waiter so long to take our order and deliver each course.
Anyway, I don’t think I’d dine here again and I don’t recommend it. Note: I also sampled other dishes from my gal pals. Save the money and go elsewhere.
