It’s been a while since I last posted. Doubt I mentioned it but I went to Antigua for a week. I had a great time, good eats, and lots of fun in the sun. You can review my journals on Igougo.com – just search for Antigua. I’m sure you’ll find my journals there.
I returned on Wednesday evening, just in time for the start of sale season in the city. Thursday I dropped by Saks and gazed at all the designer goodies on sale. Unfortunately, all the items I’ve been eyeing on during the regular season – Gucci sandals and bags, Jimmy Choo pumps, etc. were not to be found. I laid my eyes on a nice solid black leather Gucci tote. Originally $700, marked down to $450. I had to think about it for a while. I held it… and had a half and half feeling towards it. So I put it back in the sale pile and left.
Tuesday was the official start date of the Gucci sale, and I rushed over after work since they close at 7. Crowded! Everyone was there! I remember back in the day when the store wasn’t as full during sale season. That was back when they were on 57th Street. Anyway…not a bag, nor wallet, nor sandal in sight. I left in disappointment. So I walked back to Saks and picked up the bag I was thinking about. It’s right here next to my sofa still in the shopping bag. I’m guessing I’m going to keep it. I just had to buy it before it was sold out. I already had to deal with annoying chicks at the store who thought that I was gonna grab their Gucci bag, when there was an extra one on display. Just ask the sales person for a fresh one my dears…learn to shop…
Back up to the 4th floor I went to look for sandals, and nothing. So maybe I won’t be walking around in new designer sandals this year. Maybe I’ll go to Bergdorf on Friday, if I have time.

Last thought – My mood – not the greatest. I looked at old photos taken during my Eurotrip in 2004 and boy was I slim. What happened! No wonder I get depressed shopping for clothes for myself… On with my diet…
