I had an opportunity to do a guest blog review for Hudson Valley’s Restaurant Week. I chose The Melting Pot, a fondue restaurant with locations in the US, Canada, and Mexico. Check out my review on Small Bites. Here’s an excerpt about their chocolate fondue:
The chocolate fondue was very sweet, for my liking – probably because of the caramel, but it was quite delicious. My favorite dippers were the fruits, marshmallows and the Krispies. Be careful not to burn your tongue when you get to the bottom of the fondue.
Overall, a fun experience, especially at dessert. The food was good. If you run out of dippers, they’ll bring you more. I’d like to try their entrées next time. Word on the street is you should come here just for the chocolate fondue dessert.
The Melting Pot is a restaurant that I’d recommend for groups. It may take a while to agree on the type of fondue to get, but the sharing part is fun.
In the area? HVRW is going on until Sunday, March 27th. For a full listing of participating restaurants, visit hudsonvalleyrestaurantweek.com.
